Stuffed Aloo Parantha

When we are talking about breakfast how can we mis out  aaloo parantha that is not only very famous everywhere but also delicious and healthy . So i m sharing a spicy aloo parantha recipe in my way.


Ingredients:-  prepration Time : 15 min

                               Cooking Time : 15 min


  •   Wheat flour - 2 cup
  •    Meshed potato -2-3
  •    Oil - 1 tbspn
  •    Butter
  •    Chopped onions - 1/2 cup
  •    Chopped green chillis  - 2-3
  •     Chopped curry leaves  - 2 teaspoon
  •     Red chilli powder - 1 teaspoon
  •     Haldi powger -1/4 teaspoon
  •      Garam masala - 1/4 teaspoon
  •      Amchoor powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  •       Cumin seeds - 1/4 teaspoon
  •      Salt as per taste

    Recipe:-

  • First put 2-3 potatoes in the pressure cooker and add pinch of haldi powder and salt so that your potatoes will take less time to boil. After 3 whistles on high flame , switch off the stove. Now put them in a plate so that you can easily peel them.

  • Take wheat flour add salt , oil / butter and make a dough using water. Cover your dough and put aside for 10- 15 minutes. So that your  parantha will be crispy . Now till the time dough will  be  ready we will prepare stuffing.
  • Heat oil in a pan add cumin seeds. When they start crakling put add chopped onions salt and haldi powder . When onions turns into golden brown colour mix chopped green chillis and curry leaves in it. Now mix it well and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  • After that add red chilli powder, garam masala and amchoor powder .(you can also use the chat masala at the place of amchoor powder)
  • Now, add peeled mashed potatoes in the mixture and cook for 2-3 minutes. The stuffing is ready, keep it aside and prepare dough for parantha.
  • Now when your stuffing is ready and dough is also ready so make balls of the dough , and roll it into chapati . Now add 2-3 teaspoons of stuffing and fold the chapati from all the side and roll it again into a flat disc. (You can see the process in pic)

  • Heat a frying pan. Put the paranths on it pour little butter over the parantha and roast it well until both the side turn brown in colour.
Your stuffed aaloo parantha is ready. serve this hot paranths with Chilled Yogurt and Spicy Tomato chutney.
* Always use butter to roast the paranthas that will make parantha rich in taste and healthy too.
