Khirant

Khirant is a dish made from rice and milk and other incredients such as sugar. Different variants are used for either desserts or dinners. Different type of pudding depanding on making method and other selected incredients.

prepration Time : 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 30 minutes
Serving : 3 people


Ingredients:
Measuring cup used 1 cup = 250 ml


  • 1/2 cup Uncooked white rice
  • 1 Ltr Milk
  •  1 cup Sugar
  •  20-22 saffron (kesar )
  • 3- 4 peel cardmon (elaichi)
  • 15-20 chopped Pistachios (pista )
  • 10-12 chopped cashew nuts
How to prepare recipe :
  1. Place the milk, rice, sugar in a mediam saucepans and bring to a boil cover mediam - high heat, stirring occassionally until the sugar has dissolved
  2.  On a low flame till cook till khirant   becomes thick and rice gets cooked. Stir khirant in every 2 minutes.
  3.  Add  cardmons, pistachios , cashew nuts and saffron in milk and mix it well.
                                                                                                                                                            Keep this khirant in the fridge to cool serve chilled and delicious khirant after dinner.
