Bhaji is a mixture of boiled and meshed vegetables. Vegetables and spices gives a smooth and Chunkey texture. Serve it with shallow fry pav. It's a perfect party food. Ingredients :.
- 3-4 Potatoes
- 2-3 Chopped onions
- 2 Chopped tomatoes
- 2 Tbsp Ginger-garlic paste
- 1 Cup chopped Capsicum
- 3-4 Tbsp ghee / butter
- 1 nd 1/2 Teaspoon red chilli powder
- 1/4 Teaspoon Tumeric powder
- 1 Teaspoon coriander powder
- 2 Teaspoon pav- bhaji masala
- Salt as taste
- 1 Glass of water
- 1 Tablespoon chopped coriander leaves
- 2 cup of lagenaria Siceraria (laukee)
- Pav as required
You can add vegetables according to your choice
Recipe for Bhaji:
Cut Potato and lagenaria Siceraria ( laukee) into pieces. Mix together and pressure Cook this with 1 glass of water for 2 whistles.
Mesh the boiled vegetables gently with potato masher.The texture of your bhaji would depand on how you meshed the veggies.
Heat butter/ghee in a pan over medium flame .Add onions and Ginger-garlic paste . Saute until onions turns translate.
Add Chopped Capsicum, tomatoes mix it well. Add red chili, Coriander powder , haldi and salt .Add 1/2 Cup of water in masala mix well and cover and cook for 4-5 minutes.
After 4-5 minutes when your masala become soft add Add mashed vegetables and pav bhaji masala. Mix well and cook another 4-5 minutes.
Turn off the flame and garnish with chopped coriander leaves. Your bhaji is ready for serving.
For pav :
Cut pav buns horizontally into halves. Heat pan over medium flame. Add butter on pan add 1/4 tbsp red chilli powder and pav bhaji masala also add chopped onions and chopped coriander leaves.place pav on this pan add butter on pav buns and shallow fry both the side until it become light brown.
Transfer your prepared pav bhaji to a serving bowl garnish with coriander leaves and butter. Serve with chopped onions and enjoy !!!!
