This is really a easy Mild recipe deliciously comforting. Lightly spiced mixture of fried partially mashed potatoes onions and chillies and some spices. It's a fantastic meal at any time of the day. Once you have made the basic potato masala. You can serve it with chappati. Once you make you are going to love as much as i do !!!! ENJOY !!!!!!
Preparation Time : 10 mins
Cooking Time : 15 mins
Serving : 2-3 members
Ingredients:
- 5-6 Boiled Potatoes
- 2 Chopped Green chillies
- 2 Chopped Onions
- 7-8 Curry leaves
- 2 Tbsp oil
- 1/2 Tbsp Cumin seeds
- 1/4 Tbsp Mustard seeds
- 2 Tbsp Red Chilli Powder
- 1/2 Tbsp Tumeric powder
- 1 Tbsp Coriander powder
- Salt as taste
Recipe:
- First Boil 5-6 Potatoes in the pressure cooker for 2 whistles. When they are cool peel them and slice them. Finally roughly mash them a few lumps are good.
- Heat oil in a pan. Splutter cumin and mustard seeds when they start crackling add onions and saute them until it's translate now add green chillies and curry leaves. Do not burn the onion masala keep the masala moving around the pan.
- An another side add red chili, haldi and Coriander powder with salt in the Potatoes.
- Add the potatoes in onion masala mix well. Breaking up large lumps using spoon. Cook over a medium/ low heat for 7-8 minutes.
- Sprinkle over a few Coriander leaves and serve with chappatis or just eat it as it is.
NOTE : This also makes an excellent filling for sandwiches.
