Tamarind Rice recipe is very popular south Indian Recipe. If you are among those who like to eat tangy food then, tamarind rice is perfect for your plate. It is extremely easy to make and very delicious as well.
Ingredients:
• 2 Bowls of boiled White Rice• 1 Tbsp Oil
• 2-3 Dry Red Chillies
• 1/2 Tsp Cumin Seeds
• 1/4 Tsp Mustard Seeds
• 1 Tsp Red Chilli Powder
• 1Bowl of Tamarind Pulp
• 2-3 Tsp Gaggery
• Salt as Required
Prepration Time : 5 Mins
Cooking Time : 10 Mins
Method:
- Heat Oil in a pan. Add Cumin seeds, Mustard Seeds. When they starts crackling add Dry red Chillies, pinch of hing. Cook it for 30-40 sec.
- Now, add Tamarind Pulp. Mix it well .
- Add Jaggery for sweetness (you can adjust sweetness acoording to your taste).
- Allowed it to boil add Red Chilli Powder, salt again mix it well and Saute till it becomes thick gravy.
- Add cooked rice mix it well and cook it for 1-2 Mins.
Your south Indian rice is ready . Serve hot !!
