Easy Sponge Cake (Without Oven)

        Choose your favourite filling with this SPONGE CAKE.


If  you are beginner and you want to start baking then this basic SPONGE CAKE is perfect for you. Once you have mastered the art of classic sponge cake then move on to all the variations and never look back.


Ingredients :

  • 1 Bowl of all Purpose Flour (maida)
  • 1 and 1/2 Tsp Baking powder
  • 1/2 Bowl of Powdered Sugar
  • 1/2 Bowl of Melted Butter
  • 1/2 Tsp Vanilla Essence
  • 1/4 Cup of Milk (as required)

Preparation Time : 10 Mins
Cook Time : 35-40 Mins

Recipe :

  • Remove the Rubber Casket and Whistle from the Pressure Cooker and Put 2 Cups of Salt at the bottom of the Pressure Cooker and Place a stand at the bottom.
  • Pre - heat the pressPre Cooker with salt for about 10 mins before placing the cake batter in.

Method: 

  • In a large bowl Seive Maida and baking powder now add powdered sugar mix well.
  • Add milk and Vanilla Essence again mix everything well.
  • Take a vessel ( I am using Aluminium Vessel) greased it with butter and put a butter paper on the bottom ( I am using White Paper).
  • Spread some all purpose flour and pour the batter into the greased prepared vessel.
  • Tap the Vessel open the lid of the pre heated cooker and place the Vessel.
  • Close the lid and bake on medium heat for 35-40 mins.
  • Switch off the flame and let the cake rest in the cooker for 5 Mins.
  • After removing the Pan out again let it rest for another 10 Mins.                                     Your cake is ready to serve.
If your batter is thick you can add some more milk.
