Simple and easy way to prepare BAINGAN BHARTA without using so many ingredients.
There is Smokey flavour due to the roasting of the Baingan on open flame. You can feel a very nice aroma in the recipe. Just select a right Eggplant ( Baingan ) and make Bharta using some Indian spices. The roasted aroma give it a different flavour.
Ingredients :
- 1 Large Eggplant (Baingan)
- 2 Tbsp Oil
- 2 Tsp Garlic paste
- 1 Chopped Onions
- 2-3 Green Chillies
- 2 Chopped Tomatoes
- 1-2 Tsp Red Chilli powder
- 1-2 Tsp Coriander Powder
- 1/2 Tsp Haldi Powder
- 1/2 Tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1/4 Tsp Mustard Seeds
- Salt as required
- Water as required
Recipe :
- Roast Baingan for 10-12 Mins on an open flame turning the Baingan for every 1-2 mins so that baingan will roasted very well from the both sides.
- Baingan should become really soft and skin should be blistered completly.
- You can check this with using knife and fork.
- Whem the Baingan Completely cooled down peel the skin and and cut and Meshed it finely.
Method :
- Heat Oil in a pan add Cumin Seeds and Mustard Seeds. When they start Crackling add Chopped Onions, Green Chillies , Garlic Paste,salt and haldi powder. Saute them Until they become golden brown in colour.
- Now add some more dry ingredients like Red Chilli powder and Coriander Powder. Mix everything well.
- Cook it for 2-3 Minutes and then add Chopped Tomatoes with some water. Saute the tomatoes till the oil starts separating from the mixture.
- Add Maished Baingan. Stir it very well with the tomatoes and onions mixture for 4-5 Minutes.
