Ginger Halwa

We all are familiar with " ADRAk WALI CHAI  " But what if this ADRAK comes in a sweet flavour ?? To beat this Winters. Today i Present a new dessert recipe in a different way and that is GINGER HALWA. If you are a ginger lover, you are really going to love this halwa. It melts in your mouth with a mild sweetness and intense warmth that gets its heat from the ground ginger that is beloved to have health benefits.

                             This  Halwa recipe is perfect for an after dinner sweet bite. So, let's make this delicious treat called halwa.

Preparation Time : 15 Mins
Cooking Time            : 20 Mins
 Serving.                     : 2-3 Members

To Make this Ginger halwa, you need a few simple INGREDIENTS :

  • 7-8 Bread Crumbs
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 12-15 Raisins
  • 1 Tbsp Cardamon powder
  • 1/2 Cup Ghee
  • 1 Bowl Grated Ginger

Recipe :

  1. Heat 1/2 Cup Ghee in a pan add grated ginger till it becomes  light brown. 
  2. Add sugar and fry for 4-5 minutes now add raisins and mix well again fry for 2-3 minutes and add Cardamon  powder.
  3. After 2-3 minutes you can see ghee around the mixture then add bread crumbs and mix well. Ginger halwa is ready serve hot.



  •  I am using grated ginger but you can also use ginger paste.
  • You can add some milk also after adding sugar to give this a smooth texture.
