Authentic Pickle Mix

Masala, a ground spice mixture is perhaps the most Common and easiest way of using whole spices. This AUTHENTIC PICKLE MIX is one of my favourite. This homemade pickle mix is must have in my pantry and trust me that no store bought masala can even come close to this homemade deal. You can also use this for making any RAJASTHANI DISHES.

In the multitude of  spices mix Authentic pickle mix stands out for its bright colour and distinct aroma. It carries a supreme role in the making of  Rajasthani dishes just add this pickle mix . This is my simple yet reliable maneuver to make  Authentic pickle mix at home.

Ingredients : 

  • 4 Tbsp Mustard Seeds
  • 4 Tbsp Fennel Powder ( Saunf )
  •  4 Tbsp Fenugreek Seeds ( Dana meethi)
  • 1 Tbsp Kalongi (Nigella)
  • 1 Cup Mango Pickle
  •  1/4 Cup Dry Mango powder
  • Salt as taste

Method :


  1. Take Mustard Seeds, Fennel Seeds and Fenugreek seeds grind to a fine Coarse powder and add rest of the spices (Nigella, Mango powder, Salt and dry Mango Powder) with this powder.
  2. Now in a bowl take Mango pickle and mix this with dry powder. Mix  everything well.
  3. Let it dry for 3-4 days and your Authentic pickle Mix is ready. Store the masala in a clean and dry airtight container. you can use this in RAJASTHANI KER SANGRI , Curd, Vegetables and Starters.
Make sure to use dry spoon to Scoop out the masala.
