Curd Rice


For all Rice lovers. Here, I present a new recipe with one of my favourite ingredient. If you want to try something new  with boiled white rice try this recipe. In this recipe the combination of curd and rice with some spices gives an amazing taste And flavours.
          Curd the greatest example of the simplest of ingredients coming together to create a quick, refreshing and comfortable meal. You can also use leftover rice. This recipe do not need lot's of time and energy. So try this curd rice Once surely you are going to love this!!!!!

            Preparation Time : 5 mins

            Cook Time : 5 min.        

             Serving : 2 members     
    

Ingredients :

  • 2 Cup boiled white rice
  • 1 Cup curd/ yogurt (adjust as needed)
  • 7-8 Curry leaves
  • 1/4 Tbsp Haldi Powder
  • 1/4 Tbsp Red Chilli powder
  • 1/2 Tbsp Cumin seeds
  • 1/4 Tbsp Mustard seeds
  • 2-4 Tsp Chana dal (split Bengal gram)
  • 2 Tbsp oil
  • 2-3 dry red chillies

Recipe :

  1. Firstly, take a bowl combine boiled white rice and curd with salt (as required) . Mix until just combined.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, now add cumin and mustard seeds. When they start crackling add 3 Tbsp split Bengal gram ( Chana dal) haldi and 7-8 curry leaves and dry red chillies and red chilli powder mix everything well.
  3. Saute Until your chana dal turns into golden brown in colour now add paste of curd( very slowly)  and boiled rice.
  4. Mix everything well and switch off the flame. Don't cook rice more than 30-40 sec otherwise your curd will start to separate and this recipe won't turn the way we wanted to be.
Serve immediately or refrigerate for 1 hour and serve chilled.
