BUTTERY ONION PARANTHA

Are you tired of eating plain parantha? then try something new like ONION BUTTERY PARANTHA. Butter is very essential for health and gives a premium taste and aroma when we use it in making nutritious & buttery parantha and forget yourself in its exotic taste. This is going to be everyone's favorite. Do try this Delighting, crispy and mouthwatering Parantha recipe !!!

Preparation Time : 15 min
Cooking Time : 20 min
Serving : 3 members

Ingredients : (1 cup = 250 ml )

  • 2 Cups of wheat flour ( atta)
  • 1 Large onion fine chopped
  • 1/2 Teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 Teaspoon garam masala
  • One and half teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/4 Teaspoon chat masala
  • 5-7 Teaspoon ghee
  • Butter for fry parantha
  • Water as required

Recipe :

  1. Take wheat flour in a bowl and add salt, 2-3 teaspoon of Ghee, water and knead it till it turns into a smooth and soft dough. Keep it aside for 15-20 minutes.
  2.  As the dough is getting ready and become more soft, we prepare filling. Put fine chopped onions in a bowl and add Salt, garam masala, Red chili powder, cumin seeds, chat masala and mix it well.

  3. Make small sized balls from the dough and roll it into a chapati.Evenly apply ghee on the chapati and add 2-3 tbsp of stuffing fold the chapati from all the side and roll it again into a flat dish(You can see the process in the pics).

  4. When you are rolling parantha don't press to much otherwise your onion filling will start coming out and your parantha will become messy.
  5. Heat a Tawa (pan). Put the parantha on it. Pour little butter over the parantha and roast it will until both side turn golden brown in color.


                            Serve this hot parantha with your favorite mango/lemon pickle or CHILLED YOGURT or as a snacks with evening GINGER TEA.
