Ingredients : (1 cup = 250 ml )
- 2 Cups of wheat flour ( atta)
- 1 Large onion fine chopped
- 1/2 Teaspoon salt
- 1/4 Teaspoon garam masala
- One and half teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/4 Teaspoon chat masala
- 5-7 Teaspoon ghee
- Butter for fry parantha
- Water as required
Recipe :
- Take wheat flour in a bowl and add salt, 2-3 teaspoon of Ghee, water and knead it till it turns into a smooth and soft dough. Keep it aside for 15-20 minutes.
- As the dough is getting ready and become more soft, we prepare filling. Put fine chopped onions in a bowl and add Salt, garam masala, Red chili powder, cumin seeds, chat masala and mix it well.
- Make small sized balls from the dough and roll it into a chapati.Evenly apply ghee on the chapati and add 2-3 tbsp of stuffing fold the chapati from all the side and roll it again into a flat dish(You can see the process in the pics).
- When you are rolling parantha don't press to much otherwise your onion filling will start coming out and your parantha will become messy.
- Heat a Tawa (pan). Put the parantha on it. Pour little butter over the parantha and roast it will until both side turn golden brown in color.
